Before setup
In a network-streaming player such as VLC, use the network stream option. Server, username and password login needs an app supporting that method; not every login format works the same in VLC.
First login and trial
Open one stream to check audio and video decoding. Problems limited to a particular format may involve drivers or player support.
Account security
An access URL may contain a username and password. Do not save the full address on a shared computer or post it publicly. Hide these details in screenshots.
How to assess the result
Try several programmes on the same connection. If the app opens but the list does not load, check account and login details. If only one stream fails, investigate that content first. Resetting the device should not be the first step.
